Kick-off webinar for six new microplastic projects from JPI Oceans' 2nd call

Last Wednesday, 20th of May 2020, JPI Oceans hosted the kick-off webinar [1] for the six new microplastic projects awarded for funding (JPI Oceans' 2nd call), being their names: Andromeda, HOTMIC, FACTS, iPlastic, microplastiX and RESPONSE

The ECOTOX research group at the University of Vigo, will be taking part in the RESPONSE project and mainly be involved in WP4 – “Organism toxicity“, assessing the chronic effects of microplastics (MPs) at the organism level and validating the correct use of a battery of bioassays.

“Toward a risk-based assessment of microplastic pollution in marine ecosystems: RESPONSE” is a large project consortium formed by 14 Institutions from 11 European countries (Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden), which will be led by professor Francesco Regoli, department of Ecotoxicology and Environmental Chemistry [2], at the Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM).
